Led for over two decades by Finnish pioneer Heikki ”Hepa” Halme, whose  legend spans 50 years across punk,  roots rock, and acid jazz, Halme Prospekt is an open-minded, borderline-jazz collective featuring esteemed musicians that thrives on atmospheric, highly improvised, and genre-blending rhythm music. Their trajectory took a transformative turn in late 2023 at Villa Karo in Grand-Popo, Benin, upon encountering Ghana-based Togolese vocalist Queen Djenny Djella. Her captivating charisma ignited an instant cross-continental synergy, elevating the group's sonic exploration to an international stage.

Music Is My Truth is a striking, soul-stirring collaboration that combines traditional rhythmic roots with contemporary improvisation - seamlessly fusing Prospekt’s trademark Northern melancholia and psychedelic jazz with Djella’s deeply expressive, tender vocal presence.

Across nine dynamic tracks, the album shifts gracefully from deep, hypnotic journeys. The key tracks traverse a wide stylistic spectrum: "Akheron" merges avant-garde psychedelic jazz with brooding afro-blues, while "Mama Africa" and "Bon Bon Bon" radiate infectious West African highlife, afrobeat, and soul. Meanwhile, "Tango Akheron" weaves melancholy tango motifs into hypnotic, a dub-infused roots groove.
